This ever-popular franchised, Mexican-styled restaurant brand was first established in 1994. Since inception, it has enjoyed remarkable patronage from South Africans across the country and from all demographic and socio-economic sectors. With outlets across South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Australia, the concept is unique and creates an equally distinctive customer experience. The brands management team is continuous improvement driven to ensure sustainability, growth, increased brand awareness and market share. Their specialty is Mexican Flavoured Flame Grilled Chicken, complimented by a variety of traditional Mexican dishes including Fajita's, Burrito's, Quesadillas, Mexican Pita’s and Chicken Burgers which are renowned for their oversized serving. The brand is proudly affiliated with SANHA (South African Halaal Association), FASA (Franchise Association of South Africa) and the South African Heart foundation. Now set to expand within KwaZulu-Natal, the Franchisor has identified two superb sites; one in Umhlanga Rocks and the other in Ballito. To this end, interest is invited from persons wishing to become a part of the outstanding brand and upon application, a detailed prospectus along with indicative financials and other relevant information will be provided for consideration. Ideal applicants are required to be owner-operators and suitability will be based upon the following selection criteria; * Previous food service experience; * Understanding of how franchising works; * Available capital to setup the business; * Positive attitude and good people skills; * Willingness to work hard and long hours; * Understanding of the importance of customers; * Ability to work well under pressure; * Systems and procedures orientated; * An understanding of local markets and people; * Excellent communication skills; Approved franchisees will be afforded Franchisor assistance in lease or rental negotiations with the Landlord and once concluded, the Franchisor will commence the design and development of the site through to its final commissioning. With inclusive setup costs of between R1.90 million and R2.20 million, the franchisor provides a turnkey project offering. Each new development is assigned a project manager who oversees and manages the development from start to handing over keys to the franchisee and thereafter; each outlet is assigned a franchise consultant who will provide continuous consultation and guidance not to mention, assistance when special problems arise. These consultants are comprehensively trained and experienced people who will keep franchisees up-to-date on new ideas, improved methods, new products and marketing techniques. Franchisees and their respective recruits will be required to attend and complete the franchise training program which is conducted in a company certified training store and the brands Head Office. The Franchisee will be responsible for all costs incurred including travel and lodging of the management, staff and training team. Franchisor assistance is provided with staff selection and recruitment. Monthly franchise fees in the amount of 7% of gross sales (or a minimum payment, whichever is the greater) are payable to the Franchisor as is a 2% of gross sales advertising fee. The latter is spent on media advertising, merchandising materials, advertising production, research programs, co-operative advertising, special promotions and public relations efforts.
